"Social conservatism" is an oxymoron. It's also the antithesis of being "conservative." Social conservatism is big government. For example, social conservatives want GOVERNMENT TO DICTATE: what they can ingest in their bodies, who they can or cannot marry, which deity they should pray to, and whether women can or cannot have abortions.
