When more businesses close, the streets get darker and more dangerous, people lose their service jobs (not good for your health to be un-employed).so yes, you can say that it does.

What a great time for the city council to consider an "outdoor" smoke ban. Brilliant. Let's just close down more independent restaurants and bars so that the gang-bangers can take over our darkened streets. Less people on patios=darker streets=more people out of work=over-stretched police dept=more crime. Think it's bad now, just wait and see if they pass this.

My buddy also got assaulted by these punks, by Westmoreland and Santa Monica, next to the Little Temple. Be careful and cautious. This occurred in early December about 2am.
