Description:

This basic tutorial teaches how to create a custom cursor with actionscript 3.0 two ways; one purely with actionscript 3.0 and another with instances. This provides some choices. The tutorial is great for animators and game developers.

Host's comments: This is an excellent source for beginners to learn about custom cursors! It is also VERY good for animators who don't know much actionscript and just want to get away with having a more groovy cursor. If you have any questions please just comment. • Thanks for the tutorial. It was very help full!!

    I do have a slight issue, and was hoping you could help...

    If you view the site using Firefox, the cursor works perfect; however, if you view the site in I.E. everything else works except for the cursor.

    You can see the test site at constructionpro.co

    Thx in advance

  • @SlimyCow yeah :)

  • @EatGanon he's been looking at too much porn!

  • haha, Norton Internet Security has detected threats that require your attention.

    *ignores*

  • @Devr0ss just type

    cursor.mouseEnabled=false;

    in the function then it should work

  • where is that 1 from

  • yeah, unfortunately i can't click on any buttons.

  • Nice tut, although for me I am still not able to click anything. Even with .enabled to false and even using setChildIndex.

    Also, comment for the vid, I suggest you get rid of those clicking and typing sounds, they are very distracting and annoying, plus you need to be louder with your voice :)

    Keep em coming!

  • Thanx
