A Mercury Bobcat was my first car I ever owned, and I paid $2000 too much for it, as it cost me $2000. I was naive and bought the piece of junk from an old man down the street. He said he was sorry to sell it, but looking back, that was slang for "there you go, sucker!"

i had a 77 bobcat with the all-glass hatch. It was a 2.3L 4 spd manual.

I believe it has. Saw the '77-'79 XR-3 models and it does. It's white with red, orange, and yellow stripes with black outside mirrors and white painted sport wheels.
