Nick Jonas Love Story Chapter 9

Chapter 9

We watched Return to Never Land. Even though I secretly got bored.
When it was over, Nick turned off the TV. "What do you want to do today?" he grinned.
"Doesn't matter to me," I smiled.
"Want to go to the beach?" he asked.
"YES!" Joe screamed from the other room. He ran to his room and came back a few seconds later with just his swimsuit on.
Emily was nearly drooling. "Go put on a shirt," Kevin said.
"Noooooo," Joe pouted. Emily's mouth was hanging open. Joe was grinning ear to ear.
"Be right back," Emily said.
"She's probably going to change into her swimsuit," Sydney laughed.
I ran to Nick's room, flung open my suitcase, and ran to the bathroom, quickly throwing on my swimsuit. When I came out of the bathroom, Nick was also in his swimsuit, pulling a shirt over his head.
"Ready?" I asked. Nick looked at me for awhile. I swear he was mentally imagining that thing they always do in movies, where the girls' hair flies back and they look beautiful.
"You look amazing in that," Nick said. I blushed and smiled, pulling on my board shorts.
"Can you surf?" he asked.
"Yes," I said.
He grinned. "Kay. Here's a board," he said, handing me a surf board.
"Cool," I smiled.
I grabbed my tote bag and two towels, and we went out to Nick's car. When we got to the beach, we saw that it was unusually empty.
Nick and I surfed until 5 minutes before the sunset. When we finished we grabbed a Diet Dr. Pepper and sat down on Nick's towel. Some fat hobo stole mine.
"The sun is beautiful," Nick said. I observed it.
After a few minutes of silence, I put my head on Nick's shoulder. "Nick," I said.
"Yeah?" he asked softly.
"I think I kinda love you," I said.
He looked at me, and I looked at him, his eyes showing passionate feeling. I got lost in his eyes. They were so dreamy.
He leaned in and we kissed. I felt amazing.

*Nick's P.O.V*
Wow, I thought. That was amazing.
I don't think I've had this much fun with a girl since the first time I dated Miley. But there was something different about Julia. A good different.
In a weird way, I feel like Julia and I are just friends. Friends that love each other.
She looked so beautiful with her wet brown hair gently flowing behind her because of the soft breeze that occasionally came by. And the blue ocean brought out the blue in her eyes.
It was hard to explain why I thought she was so beautiful, but there was something about her that made her stand out from all other girls. She was unique.
Just then, I saw Joe and Emily walking up to us.
"NICK," Joe said, looking mad at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Why do you have my surfboard?" he asked.
"Becuase Julia needed one," I replied.
"Why couldn't you have given her Frankie's?" he asked.
"Because it was like an inch wide!" I said.
"Give me my surfboard," Joe demanded.
I felt a little playful, so I said, "Not unless you can catch me."
I took off running and Julia was not having a hard time staying beside me. Joe and Emily were trailing behind somewhere, but I knew Joe would probably get the whole beach after me.
"SURFBOARD THEIF!" I heard Joe scream, stopping to take a breath. I smiled a big, goofy smile. When I slowed down, he finally caught up to me and I surrendered the surfboard.
"I knew I would be able to catch you," Joe said.
"Yeah. You win," I said sarcastically.
I put my towel that I had been holding in my right hand while the surfboard was in my left around my neck. It cooled me down a little bit because it was still wet.
By then Julia and I were walking along the shore. Julia took off her flip flops to feel the sand beneath her feet. I did the same thing. I reached over to her and held her left hand.
She smiled and sighed, looking at the sun slowly falling below the horizon. I looked up and saw the sky a really pretty mixture of pink, white, and purple clouds, the blue sky peeking out behind them.
Just then, I felt something hit the back of my head really hard. My eyesight started to fade to purplish grey, starting to look like pixels on a computer screen. My ears sort of clogged,
and I felt my feet give out below me, making me stumble hard to the ground.
"NICK!" Was the last thing I heard.
