  • Absolutely my favorite live version of Muscle Museum. AMAZING.

I so miss the days of the Bomber....

  • This would have to be the best performance of Muscle Museum I've seen. I hope they play this when I see them in April.

  • @sippe555 Thaks for the explanation, i promise to not bother you anymore :P

  • @alexla222 That last chorus has always been on the edge of his range, and probably the hardest song they have when it comes to vocals. He can sing the note, but the problem isn't hitting the notes, but the actual singing that he has to do. And it's probably a combination of not wanting to tire out his voice, being afraid to fail and also just being lazy :p

  • @sippe555 So, why he cant sing the highest note in sing for absolution? is he afraid to not hit the note correctly? because of your explanation he can sing at that note, i am reffering specifically the part when he says "Our wrongs remain unrectified"...

  • @alexla222 Yeah, while he has improved a lot technically, he has also had to work harder for those high notes. He still has the same range, he just doesn't get there as easily. And if a song sounds good lowered a step, then I can understand why he would do it, especially with such a hard song as Cave. But he can still hit those notes, he has actually hit his highest chest notes just in the last year. B4, something he never did when he was younger, not that I know anyway.

  • @sippe555 I ve just listened to cave in 2009, you are right, but why has he lowered to G#4? Is something related with his age? He is not able to sing at A4 anymore because he is older? :-( thanks for the explanation dude :D

  • @alexla222 the high note in Cave is actually the same note as the high ones in Sing For Absolution, A4. He can hit them, but they are just on the edge of his range. And he hasn't sung Cave in the original key since 2002 or something, which explains why he did that and not the Sing For Absolution notes. When Cave was brought back in 2009, the key was lowered and he sang G#4s instead of A4s.

  • @sippe555 I listened both yesterday, you were right, i feel dissapointed :(, why cant he sing those songs in the same way that in studio? Those notes are too high for him? But in the song Cave, at chorus, i think that note is higher than the note in sing for absolution...and he can sing that note perfectly. Sorry for my bad english, im from Argentina, i hope you understandd what i mean.

  • @alexla222 Have you listened to them live?

  • @sippe555 What do you mean? What happen with City of Delusion and Sing For Absolution at live?

  • Mi piace il solo di chitarra =)
