I like YXC because he has some actual old school kung fu moves in his form.. like the front kick with the heel, the knock and front kick with the instep.. that kind of thing
i agree with those guys who say his moves are stiff, but at the same time he has tons of power and some really interesting moves here and there. cooler cq than zhao qing jian for sure, but not as smooth as zhao qing jian.

hmmm, nice but there are better changquan athletes in china. I just dont get it, why do china pick YXC to represent them in changquan at international events? Am I missing something??

i love zhao jie! cuz of his expression the most :D, he's always showing that he needs to poo, it's really cool whaha

no in and out movement, up and down, twist and coil, stretch and close, a block of wood baby. him and liu zhi yong are the same to me. have a nice day! :)

With all due respect, many champions or reigning champions have deserved it. It's to my opinion that netiher Zhao Qing jian nor Yuan Xiao Chao deserve their positions nor status. YXC has it all EXCEPT technique and flavor, which is what made Yuan wen qing and shanxi province famous. I do recall all of Rui Jia's events are solid, broadsword and changquan included.YXC's movement's are not crisp at the end like liu hai bo nor jiangbanjun, and again, there is 0 waist movement.

This guy has as much waist movement as a block of wood. Daisuke and Rui Jia puts him to shame. Even Zhao Qing Jian rocks this guy,as plain jane as ZQJ can be. Zhao Jie and Zhao Kun are way cooler too. Pc out! Thanks for the post!

You may be giving him too little credit. What do you attribute Yuan Xiao Chao's lead to, if not his athleticism & skill?
Rui Jia's specialty is staff.
Some of Daisuke' s techniques may be faster.
Zhao Qing Jian (ZQJ) in 2001 would be a better comparison.
Zhao Jie, well, his unfortunate conduct does not allow us to fairly compare to other champions.
Zhao Kun is one of the higher caliber athletes.
However, YXC's jumps, power, speed, and poise makes him the rightful champion in CQ.
