I bet Neil and Chet Atkins would have made great music together. I can tell Chet had a big influence on him, as he did on thousands of guitar players. Neil is great on this tune.

@DynaflowDonnie Yeah, I used to use Gretsch flatwounds back then. Later on we discovered that you could move the b to the g position, the high e to the b position, and use a tenor banjo high a in the high e position. This allowed bending notes without tearing your fingertips off.
I am still enamored by this video of dad. His time feel is sublime. His technique is off the charts and his smile is infectious!
