"Bayan Ko" is a famous patriotic song in the Philippines. This is the Freddie Aguilar (Anak) performance. Although it's not as good as the ASIN'S VERSION (Better-Makabayan Sound) this is good enough as a substitute. Lately, as he is getting Senile, he made some negative comments to his fellow Filipino international performers. Is it pure Jealousy or he is on drugs or maybe he is just losing it because he was not able to achieve what blessings other performers had done in a short period of time in the U.S. and globally. He used to sing English covers as he entertains the U.S, Servicemen in Subic Bay Naval Base to feed his family, etc. If he continue this act of disrespect, he will be losing a lot of his fans.

This is a "minus one" audio, one channel is the instrument and one channel is the vocals. Minus one or "Voice Eliminator" machine was invented in the Philippines but the was never put out in the market. It was later mass produced by the Japanese and given the name "Karaoke"

Freddie has a point. It is called "negative point" & is being deducted by losing his original fans rapidly. His point is pointless bcause d way he is saying is hypocritical- portraying himself as makabayan which in fact he himself is an immitator & sing foreign songs. He is just bitter that the good things, popularity and recognition did not happen to him overnight like these other performers. You cannot force other people to worship you all the time especially when you are on the way down.

Somebody has 2 start somewhere 2 enjoy d joy of life, 2 b be famous, 2 live in comfort & 2 put food on d table. D fact is unavoidable. It's all business, satisfaction, & enjoy what life has2 offer. Freddie did not start singing & recording tagalog hits. He used 2 & even now sing & immitate foreign songs 2 help his daily existence & 2 satisfy his clients. There is only 1 way 2 reach most people & that is by universal language. Original or not, the will to put food in the table has to happen.

As a Singer/Songwriter/Performer - He's in the same league with Bob Dylan, James Taylor, and Paul Simon - except those guy speak English only - Freddie has one trait that those other guys don't have - the ability to sing a powerful song that anyone in the world can understand regardless of language.
