Technically, they took their gameplay from Rogue, infact, all of those kinds of games are called Rogue-likes because Rogue was the first to come up with the concept.

i killed that that gobiln after it killed my friend by the book spells. i was at lvl 2 when i kill it and i went up lvl 4 and killed the boss at lvl 9 or 10.

This is a cute and quite interesting spin off on the Final Fantasy series. Wierd the US didnt get the first Chocobos dungeon game, It was a Japanese only realese but hey, we got the second, right? Great Lets play, thx ;)
