The end scene of the 'the mentalist' season finale... Red John: Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night :
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

A poem by the english poet: William Blake.

  • so then... Red John killed Kristina, didn't he?

  • @primerosteon No, he didn't.

  • @JisbonProductions damn it xDD I was hoping... but then what happened to her?

  • @primerosteon You see it in episode 3x03 :) She's alive, but ... how can you say that... not ... able to do anything.

  • i was watching this episode like 5min ago... i have a question, is this the LAST episode of mentalist ever, or just of this series????

  • @MultiPorsche2 There are 7 seasons planed. This scene is from the second one. The third is almost over. So it's not the last episode ever ;)

  • Remembered and how Freudian misremembered the Blake poem from school. It's a poem about poet inspiration, Divine Creation(what immortal hand) and the discovery of savage nature(tiger) lurking in the dark psyche(forests of the night). I think the poem is a metaphor for the symbiotic relationship of Jane and John(the juxtaposition of their names is suggestive isn't it). I would be surprised(and disappointed) if it was a riddle though in pop psychology all criminals secretly wish to be unmasked.

  • Whoa man... Whoa... I have to say that out of all the episodes done so far this is by FAR my favorite! this scene gets my adrenaline running every time i watch it... tyger, tyger... giggle

Oh how I wish Jane and Lisbon were together though...
