Originally aired in 1955 (season 6, episode 4) of the Jack Benny Program. Jack Benny (born Benjamin Kubelsky in 1894) was a contemporary of the Marx Brothers, at one point accompanying their vaudeville stage show with violin in the orchestra pit.

Simply wonderful and a technical Masters Class in the art of timing of lines, actions and delivery. Jack Benny and the great George Burns are my all time favourites in how to hold, entertain and engage an audience which is an art virtually completely lost these days. I'm so pleased to have been able to see them at the time..they were my father's favourite comedians so I grew up watching them and many others from that era. Wonderful times.

LOL I love it when Jack Benny calls Johnny Mr. Carson and Johnny says "call me Johnny" and Mr. Benny shouts back "I'll call you whatever I want" I love that line. I wasn't born until the early '70s but these old shows are the best
