Where Do Your Legislators Stand on Gitmo Terrorists?

As Members of Congress prepare to return to their home districts for the August recess to face their constituents, and President Obama persists in trying to close the Guantanamo Bay prison facility by January, the Center for Security Policy has published the Interim Guantanamo Legislative Report-- providing, in detail, the policy positions of every Representative and Senator on the issue of closing Gitmo and transferring detainees to the United States. The Press Conference was held today in the Longworth Building, and featured the following speakers (in order): Center President Frank Gaffney; Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX); Rep. Todd Tiahrt (R-KA); Rep. Brian Bilbray (R-CA); Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-MI); and Debra Burlingame of 9/11 Families. Finally, Frank Gaffney made additional comments and answered questions.
