A simple morning drive featuring a 1982 Camaro Z28 with a few mechanical updates. This car was built to be driven and I do... a lot.
Here's a list of some of the additions:
GM Performance 290 HP 350 c.i. crate engine
Hotchkis Suspension
Baer T4 Cross drilled and slotted brakes
Flowmaster 3" exhaust
Spohn tubular control arms and torque arm
Koni adjustable shocks
Flaming River quick ratio steering box and leather wheel
OMP racing seats
6 point mild steel cage
6 Speed manual transmission built by Hanlon Motorsports
...and the seriously sweet Alpine cassette stereo from the 80's!

  • your disrespecting that f-body without a mullet sir

  • @blabla3o HA! I don't grow any hair on the top of my head any more so the mullet is out of the question... about the only thing I could grow out would be the very hardcore redneck "skullet" (long hair around the skin cul de sac on the top)! Maybe I'll give it a try for some videos!!!

  • What headers, mufflers you got on that thing? best sounding one Ive heard yet

  • @yourit311 Edelbrock smog legal headers and a Flowmaster 3" cat back system.

  • You're right, there's something fun about whipping around a larger capable car vs. say a Miata or Elise.

My 85 TA was such a balanced beast! I loved it. Swapped the engine for a an L98, full bolt-on, shocks so stiff they'd send your spine through the top of your head and it was great!

    Great videos, too! (Subscribed!)

  • @autoedit lmao,id love to see that.

keep up the great vids man

  • That car sounds amazing! Gotta love those third gene.

  • Love your editing, transitions and you are entertaining to listen to. You don't come off as scripted. Congrats on doing a way better job than R&T, C&D, or any of the other mags have done. Still got work for Top Gear like entertainment though. :O)

I also have a thirdgen, 89 GTA. I can completely agree about the cars character. It does handle. With a sticky tire and the right alignment it goes exactly where you want it to. But it really is fun to muscle around a track.

  • 1982 - if it was a factory stick car, it had a mechanical z-bar clutch setup. With the t-56 install, did you go full hydraulic or stick with the z-bar?

  • @KyleP133 No doubt they still do well with factory parts- but they do so much better with the correct aftermarket parts and adjustments. THose CMC cars would do better also with better parts- but alot of class restrictions limit modifications to keep racing competitve costs down....Yes, I am Dean ;)

  • @86IROCZ86 I never said they handle bad, I said they can be made so much better with the addition of the correct parts. I had a 87 that pulled a documented 1.07 g's on a skid pad with factory 8" Iroc wheels and dot street tires TW 220 that were factory size 245-50-16. I also happen to be a NASCAR crew chief for a Supertruck team in 2008-2010 with a winning resume so I knid know what Im talking about ;)

  • Fella that is an awesome old muscle car, the look on your face says it all, it looks a "LOT" of fun
