I don't think I pictured this a song in the book. I think I pictured it as Sam simply trying to bolster his friend and himself to make it that little bit farther. Not sung at all, but probably wistfully spoken, softly.

@mertdejedi Even to death. I am almost certain Sam would have given his life, if it meant Frodo would have survived.
-
@FingolfinTheNoldor I think the movies did a fairly decent job of portraying Sam. Yes, books are often better, but I think the movies did Sam at least some justice.

En fin... Olvidemos de qué execrable película proceden las imágenes y disfrutemos la música, que sin dudas es bellísima.

Sam was always my first hero after reading the books

@FingolfinTheNoldor Thats not really true. In my point of viewing, i already saw the awesomeness of Sam in the movies. He is an example of a great brave friend who will stick to you, till the end, even till almost-death.

well, I think that it is the friendship between Frodo and Sam that makes the books and the movies so special....it's the two of them. I wouldn't want to decide which one of them is the better one, or which one is the bigger hero.

@TheDragonsRose He truly did.

Tolkien admitted that the main hero of the story was Sam, not Frodo.

Sam was the true hero of the series. When I ready LOTR, i really got the impression that it was his love and devotion, and his heroism, that was truly the hero of the war. Frodo gave into its power. Sam loved him enough that he would have taken himself and Frodo into the Fire if he had to, if Gollum hadn't wrested the ring from Frodo.

Sam was my second favorite character in the book.
he is brave and faithful. without him Frodo would never have made it. he is a rewal hero in the book.
sadly his awesomeness cannot be seen in the movie :(
