Theatrical trailer to the cult sci-fi/action/horror picture "Death Machine" starring Brad Douriff.

Please visit my website at http://www.realmofhorror.co.uk

This film is a guilty pleasure of mine, which borrows heavily from the Richard Stanley film "Hardware" (both movies also feature actor William Hootkins).

I'd recommend this to all Brad fans and lovers of sci-fi/horror. However I would recommend getting the UK DVD, as this is much longer and uncut in terms of gore compared to the heavily truncated US disc, which is cut and misses out a lot of character development and sub plots.

There was also a much longer extended cut released on Japanese laserdisc (now long OOP), however this version simply contained extra dialogue, was slow paced and had no more action.

In short, go for the UK DVD as its the directors preffered cut.

  • I love that kinda movies... Some futuristics, some isolation in a building / spaceship, some android-technology, some great villain (hail to Brad!), some 80ies-feeling (facepainted guy), some cool colour filter (cold/blue), some cool femal synth computer voice ("Welcome to Chaank Corporations"), some cool subtle jokes ("wrong way" and the rubber chicken!!!), some great "F@kk we gotta find a way out"-moments...

Movie is G.R.E.A.T. Any others of its kind?

  • @sluggo06 We get eaten by maggots, and after a few billion years, the Earth merges with the sun which has become a red giant, and expanded to the orbit of Mars.

  • This movie has killer cyberpunkitude. Kinda reminds me of "Resident Evil" now that I think about it. That dude 'Goat' from "Doom" is in it. Isolated buildings with horrors inside never go wrong.

  • Where would half the Direct to Video films of the 1990's have been without James Cameron?

  • Man I saw this on cable once and haven't seen it since. Sure its cheesy but I kinda liked it personally.

  • I miss the 90's......

  • This movie will tear you to shreds.

  • @sluggo06 If we're good, we're condemned to be badass characters in an awesomely cheesy, straight-to-unrewound-VHS scifi movie.. in techn0-hell. If we're bad - we end up in a teen vampire romance novel on a wire shelf in Walmart. Either way - YOU ARE NOT A GOD *scary eyes*

  • This B-class movie eats on breakfast most of modern sci-fi movies

other movies with similiar atmosphere are Hardware and Nemesis
