August 19 was the feast of Transfiguration of our Lord. On this day ten years ago, the restored Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the largest cathedral in Russia, was consecrated in Moscow.
Restoration of the cathedral began in 1995 and lasted five years. In order to match the original finishing, marble for the upper temple was procured in Italy.
The reconstruction and finishing of the temple cost a total of $650 million, which was donated by people around the world. As it was in the 19th century, it remains the Russian Orthodox Church's largest cathedral in Russia. Its height is 103 meters. During the main church services, it can hold up to 10,000 people.
What goes around comes around....the christians destroyed many Pagan temples and burned pagan priests alive. So stop complaining christians!

Чёртовы коммунисты! Такую ценность уничтожили ради своего Замка Советов, который толком не построили, а вместо него построили бассеин.
Слава Богу, настал всему этому крах!
