Hannah Wilson describes her summer Residency project working with Grainger's Corporate Communications and Investor Relations department. She developed guidelines and process for Grainger branch managers to identify local philanthropic, volunteer and leadership opportunities that align with the corporate business philosophy. She also performed a competitive analysis of global corporate social responsibility initiatives. Finally, Hannah managed an internal (survey administered to 1,200 managers) to benchmark awareness of Grainger Performance Systems such as Six Sigma, Lean and Balanced Scorecards.
