Note : Memphis got their first Jugband in the twenties. They were more "Bluese", than the more jazz-influenced band in the north.
Will Shade was an ambitious man and rehearsed his Jug Band to a Great success, until the Depression put an end to his brilliant career.

So, I'm proud to present this one !

  • @seanranspot Same here man. Old Crow Medicine Show are the ones who introduced me to this good ol' timey music. Through them I've found hundreds of artists and thousands of songs. Folk, Blues, Blugrass, Ragtime, true Country, Gospel, String Bands, Jug Bands.... its all so godamn good. Its bordering on obsession for me finding this stuff

  • @TheESCALADO No, they all were all right and good musicans, but perhaps they all had the same problem as all Bluesmen had. They were fond of alcohol, I guess. I can't blame them, cause they all created good Blues. Jug Band Blues !
