@KarachiPage the mujahideen fought of the soviets after.after they left the mujahideen groups started fighting with each other in civil war for power. eventually the 7 largest groups joined to form the taliban,the rest formed the northern alliance.the taliban leader mullah omar was a mujahideen fighter against the soviets. you saying the taliban has nothing to do with soviets is wrong.search mujahideen on wiki,the afghanistan section tells it all. search mullah omar after that.

thetrueturnip, Yes I searched it on Wiki and in fact it all happened during my days in college so I remember it very clearly. Mullah Omar may have fought himself against Soviets, but his Taliban companions are ALL students of medrasah.

In fact, this fake Mullah was teaching right here in a mosque in Karachi, when started gaining popularity among teenage students there.

Bottom Line, almost all current Taliban fighters were either in the wombs or in diapers during Soviet invasion of Afg.

I don't see the point in replacing one terrorist with another. Baitullah Mahsud may have been an agent or whatever but he was replaced by Hakimullah who is even worse. The entire movement needs to be rooted from the ground. Rah e Nijat has not eliminated the militants power base in South Waziristan and Ladha has again become a center for these men. Another operation should be undertaken.

Especially if they are agents we have no excuse then. Why are we letting this cancer survive?

Pakistanis are hypocrites. LOL Pakistan women still don't wear Burqa & work with men, Pakistan men don't grow beard, English law & democracy, TV-movies.
