VICTORIA - After months of deliberation, the CRTC has announced new rules for Canada's 'Big Four' media providers.
Bell, Shaw, Rogers and Quebecor are all what the industry calls "vertically integrated" companies, meaning they are satellite, cable and wireless providers that own many of the channels they distribute.
The CRTC says it wants to ensure consumers are getting the services and options they deserve at home and on mobile devices.
The regulator has told the companies to play nice and share.
