I've had my chi for 9 months now and I'm about done with it. It's constantly losing water because it has no lid, as well I've had two fish in the last week jump out of the tank for the same reason. Plus there is a constant haze once you put fish in it. That may be from needing live rocks or something, IDK.

So I used black CarribSea sand. The only problem with sand is using a gravel cleaner to vacuum it out. So far I haven't had any problems.
