Laparoscopia

18 year old female (virgin) with previous ultrasonographic diagnosis (abdominal) of a serous cyst of the ovary she received treatment with oral contraceptives with no response, we had the patient to have an abdominal xray which demonstrated intra ovaric calcifications and tumoral markers which were reported negative. With the latter in mind we planned a laparoscopic approach to this patient.

This video was kind of worthless. We didn't get to see what was inside of the little cysts. It took forever to get them loose and out of there.

That is the objective of this kind of surgery, if the dermoid cyst leaks inside the patient there will be a very important inflamatory reaction which can impair the reproductive future of this patient, it takes a lot of time to get it loose because we have to be very, very delicate with it

I stand corrected. I wasn't aware of the inflammatory problems with opening the cyst inside the patient. I would, however, liked to see what you found in the cyst.

Inside the cyst we found hair (a lot of it), skin and teeth, unfortunately right now I dont have any pictures of the contents of the cyst but trust me, it is not a pleasing sight

Laparoscopia is the spanish term for laparoscopy which is a minimal invasive surgical procedure.

Porqué si es virgen entonces no tiene porqué estar tomando hormonas o algo por el estilo que por lo regular son las causantes de los quistes en los ovarios.
