okay, i have a ton of questions... (sorry...)
how much was the cintiq when you got it?
do you think it improved your drawing at all?
some pros and cons please...?
(im saving up for the cintiq 21UX, so i really want to be sure im making the right choice with my hard earned money (im like a teen...))

@YuhiChan1013 No problem at all. :)
It was $2,000 from Wacom's site, not sure what it goes for now since they have the new model.
No it didn't improve my drawing, it made the drawing I did easier, but ultimately the only thing that will improve your drawing is your skills and your practice, tools are just for convenience.
Pros it's easier to make long, sweeping strokes and see where you're going, overall it's faster and more efficient. Cons not much except it's not very mobile.

@Stickymation Thanks very much! And yeah, I plan on doing some more videos sometime soon, I just need to cobble together some free time to do it. I think if I can make it work I'd like to put up a new video every few weeks, but we'll just have to see how things go.
And congrats on the Cintiq, hope you enjoy it! :)

can i find something similar to this like you dont have to hook it up to a computer you can just draw on the screen for a reasonable price?
TwilightVids4Life 4 months ago
@TwilightVids4Life The closest thing I know of would be an iPad or a tablet PC. The thing with iPads is they don't have pressure sensitivity, and tablet PCs have both the tablet and a computer for the same price so quality is bound to suffer at some point. There are also tablet slates (Asus makes one) that are essentially tablet PCs minus keyboards, so basically a screen you can draw on with an OS already installed, but I've never used one so I can't say if they're good or bad.
