Yeah, he was very popular in my youth (I'm older'n dirt now). Hard to square this and "Never Rains in Southern Cal" with "Creep" by Radiohead - which he co-wrote! But if you just read the lyrics to "Creep" it doesn't sound half as creepy as when they sing it: "I'm a creep, I'm a loser, I'm a train..."
