  • Did the 3 &1/2 day hike starting near the top of the canyon at Tramway and hiked/sloshed down the most amazing land AZ has to offer.Giant ferns, fresh water springs and shear walled coldesacs100 feet high w/ waterfalls cascading down.Never so tired in my life after the first days hike, we took the next day off to fish and swim. There is way out of this canyon until nearing the lower chapparal zone and at times we all felt that spooky " Deliverance" lonliness. Pls dont list trail #s or directions

  • @electriddle Why not? If I dont they can find it just as I did by looking it up and finding it from someone else.... I found directions from hike az.....

  • This past year, I have really enjoyed seeing parts of Arizona with you, if not for real then in a "virtual" way. Hopefully, this was nowhere near where that dam collapsed in northern Arizona.

  • No, that was around the Grand Canyon... It was probably about five hours or so from us! We were actually about thirteen miles from Dans house just outside of Verde Vally. That is about an hour from Phoenix. It is truly amazing the areas in Arizona that have water sheds, Even in the summer! I am so glad that you have the opportunity to watch the beauty of Arizona unfold...

  • Yeah, Thats the same place I go hiking on my many days off and its practically in my own backyard of where I live. It really the most beautiful area to go for sure. Great Video Mark, I was thinging about you on the day it rained. Its been raining on and off nearly all week.

  • Dan,

We went down the 260 to forest road 618 then we drove about two miles to forest road 215 and about three miles after that... Man! That place is beautiful. We hiked about two and a half miles in just past the third creek crossing, and stayed back in that area. It was a blast!

  • @mrgoding Fossil creek is also a beautiful creek that was little known and remained undamaged until the AZ Republic did a sunday full color section on it, After that the crowds looked more like those on the Salt River. But because were all clear creekers on this blog.. heres the scoop; to enter the heart of CC"s beauty drive threw Strawberry towards Clints Well and turn on FR 142 drive on dirt path to 142D it will dead end on S. rim of CC, A steep 1/4 mile hike will lead you to AZ s pot o gold

  • Guest what, its Sunday and I drove a short distance and took 260 to forest road 618 to 215 today as you had done, and just got back. Man thats is beauiful out there. Took a little hike. If you stay on 260 for just a quarter mile more there is the shorter dirt road that takes you in to the river there. This is where I go hiking most of the time, in fact This is where I did the Movie with Sam Call, "DEAD MAN'S GOLD, THE GOLD PIECE" &"GUN BATTLE" which you can watch here on you-tube.
