Last trolleybuses in Ghent, Belgium

On the 14 july 2009, after 20 years of service, trolleybuses had run for the last time through the streets of Ghent (in Belgium). To commemorate this event special run was organised.

Here we see the real VETERAN arriving to the end of the line at Mariakerke Post. This vehicle is 6023. Actually, it have neved had served in Ghent since it was retired before the first (and the only) Ghent trolleybus line was inagurated in 1989. But who cares - 6023 rides so beautifully through the streets of Ghent!

6023 was actually build in 1945 and it have served in Brussels before the trolleybus there was closed down in the sixties.
