It is a sequel of sorts, but it`s made by a creative team that had nothing to do with the original movie. In my opinion, the movie is a lot better than the t.v. show.

@WeirdDreamShow there's NO Haji... and there's NO Diva... this is the original movie. It has nothing to do with Blood+. Blood+ came after this... and while I like it (just finished it today) this movie blows the whole 50 episodes out of the water...

The sequel is the Blood+ anime. But I wish they would make a sequel of this particular movie. Like, without Haji and with THIS Saya. it drove me crazy when they just left you hanging.
