Pete Gervasoni and the Australian Army Band Sydney present the ultimate tribute to the past and present men and women that have served all services in all wars. We must never forget
The words "What are they marching for?" are lifted from the Eric Bogle song "And the band played Waltzing Matilda" - now THAT is a song about war and what it does to soldiers. NO, we must never forget the sacrifice of our soldiers but equally we must never glorify war or turn Anzac Day into a nationalistic farce. It's just my opinion but this song does not sit well with me. Anzac Day should be a quiet and sombre occasion, not an opportunity for flag-waving. This is too sentimental for my tastes.
@roberthickerson Nui Dat was an Australian Base Camp in the Vietman War (sorry Police Action) was home to over 5000 Aussie Diggers.
