All you need to know about belly button piercing care.
Note: I am not a professional, nor do I do piercings on other people, nor am I a doctor to give you medical advice to your specific need. Please consult your doctor if you do not see any results after this video.
Price: Varies, but mine was $40, it can go up to $120.
Place: You can get pierings at piercing shops/tattoo shops, a lot of places will have a lit up sign int he window saying that they do piercings.
Pain; The pain between one and 10 on my experience was about a 6. It only hurt because the lady who did it, did not do it right and she stuck the needle in really really slow.
Jewlery: They have the jewlery at the place, the metal it is made out of I believe was titanium, but once its finished you can get it in gold, silver, etc.
QUESTIONS:
Q. WHEN CAN I CHANGE MY PIERCING?
A. You're suposed to wait until there is NO IRRITATION, PUS, OR BLOOD coming from the piercing. You want to make sure your confident its healed enough to change the piercing. It ranges from 2-6 months.
Q. IS BLOOD OR PUS NORMAL?
A. Yes. Blood and pus are normal off and on, usually do to healing, infection, or a distrubance. If you following the cleaning ritual I will give you and it doesn't go away, consult your doctor.
Q. CAN I PIERCE IT MYSELF/ CAN A FRIEND PIERCE IT?
A. Yes. But do I reccomend it? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Having a non professional pierce your belly button can leave it crooked, make it a lot more painful, and is more prone to infection. Professionals have sterile equiptment and a sterile room for the piercing. Do not attempt to pierce your belly button yourself.
CLEANING RITUAL:
1. About three to four times daily you want to clean the area around, and the bar itself with BACTINE SOLUTION, this can be purchased at the drug store for about 5 dollars.
2. Shower like normal but on your stomach I reccomend a non colored, non scented soap. You can continue your usual bathing ritual.
3. Once a day, less or more, you can soak your piercing, and clean it with salt water. I use himalayan salt because I like it best and its the only salt we have, but you can purchase salt soaks, WITHOUT COLOR OR SCENT, and also you can get them from the piercer usually.
TIPS/ TRICKS/WARNINGS/ AND RECCOMENDATIONS:
1. Clean your percing with something desposible, I reccomend a q tip because its tight cotton and snags less.
2. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR PIERCING, BEFORE CLEANING BE SURE TO WASH YOUR HANDS.
3. Turn, and move your piercing twice daily to make sure the skin doesn't grow around the piercing.
4, DO NOT go in the hot tub, or swimming if possible, for 2 weeks after piercing, irritation may occur.
5. Always use unscented, un colored products on your piercing.
6. You can buy your jewlery at the mall, online, or other places. Here are some sites.

CONS OF YOUR PIERCING: Things to consider.
1. They snag, if you have a dangly one.
2. They get infected easily.
3. They require lots of care.
4. Sometimes it hurts to lay on your stomach.
5. If it gets infected, it will most likely leave a scar.

@MelonsAndMangos its not that urgent to move it every day, just make sure its not crusting, clean it off and make sure its able to move and it isn't stuck.

Some of the stuff you said was crap. You never use rubbing alchahol or peroxide it kills bad bacteria and good bacteria that your belly button peircing needs to heal. I am a profeshional peircer so if your telling people crap that could get them hurt you shouldn't tell them anything. Girls just come to real profeshional they will tell you everything you actually need to know.
