No,,, he can... if there is poverty it is because he wills it.. everything that happens it because he wills it!!! It is His will, cuz this is not heaven, but EArth... He is almighty and implying that he cannot have control over his own world is denying God's power... :)

I don't think I would say, "God wills there to be poverty on Earth." God created Earth and while he does have power over it he allows mankind's free will to create such things as poverty.

I wish my friends belived god loved them, I have tried to tell them, and when i even give a slight mention of god, i get some kind of debat or a offending joke...they are my friends and i care for them I dont push on them the fact that god does love them for fear of truning them away, but i fear for them, and they are always in my prayers and i pray that god will give me the words to give to them, to help them.

@forgivenforever123j ...I don't know from whom you are receiving this information, but if it is a church, that is very troubling. if you have come to this decision entirely on your own, 'to have life and to have it more abundantly,' DOES NOT refer to material possessions. It's not logical. If Christianity were about that it would be a cult...along the lines of the eastern mystery religions, which is exactly what Jesus came to rebuke and from which to rescue the Jew and the Greek.

@zytigon I respectfully disagree with you...to be well read, have a good education, attempt a positive outlook - this is what the World tells us through osmosis, or in your case directly, we need...these things won't necessarily breed prosperity (assuming you mean material wealth), but more often serve to allow us to feel inadequate - that we DON'T have the positive outlook we SHOULD have (where in the Gospels is 'a positive outlook' mentioned - be of GOOD CHEER yes, but that's not the same)?

@forgivenforever123j Making good decisions is a main route to prosperity. Trying to investigate the decision fully before making a choice by looking at all the reasons for & against. Seeking a variety of opinions on the matter. Good education is key, reading widely, think positive. Emotional literacy is important.

If God wills someone to be poor why does the Bible talk about prosperity. Remember Psalm 23, you anoint my head with oil, my cup run over with blessings. Also, why would somebody that loves you beyond compare want you to suffer the hardship of being poor. I believe that people become poor because they forget about god's promises about being rich and blessed. Jesus even said, " I come that you might have life and have it more abundantly." People have to have faith and trust in God.
