Story:

over their 47-years long relationship, Elizabeth would sometimes turn to the Archdukes and whatnots she really pretended wanting to marry for long years, plus to her other favorites too: once he had that man at Court called Thomas Heneage: Robert was very jealous of him and he threatened to chastise him with a stick. [ LOL ] and Heneage complained to the Queen who said to Robert that "she would lower him, just as she had, at first, raised him." to which Robert ran "in one of the rooms of the palace in deep melancholy" until Elizabeth restored him to favour.

[this really did happen and i read it in the book "Elizabeth and Leicester" by Sarah Grinstwood.]

so thats how these two loved each other, and i thought this song would fit. Its about how Elizabeth missed spending her time with Robert each time she had an archduke or an other favorite around: because she far didnt feel the same way about them as about her "Bonnie Sweet Robin."
