This is the BEST tutorial on youtube. Thank you so much for doing it....VERY clear instruction. I am a fan = )

And remember boys and girls, while it's important to know WHEN to play the bones, and when NOT to play the bones....heheheheh.

What a brilliant tutorial! Thankyou for uploading :)

Wow, that's some awesome stuff - very informative and helpful, thanks. :)

Cool! - through another video I learned to play the spoons today (ok, I don't play WELL yet, but it's a start). So I'm moving to finding out about the bones now. I wish I'd known how this stuff worked years ago so I'd be an expert now, but hey, maybe when I'm 80 I'll be good! Thanks for that lesson.

Oh my gosh. Moeller stroke on rhythm bones? Mind blown.

Thanks for the video, man. This is what got me into playing them and now I'm starting to build a reputation as a ragtime bones player in Seattle. Keep it up!

I don't know how you do it, man. you made this video and after 35,ooo views and 53 comments, this is the only one that mentions the word "skirt" (in which it's no considered proper to sit with ones legs so far apart)
Kudos to you, Vash, who may or may not be a stampede. I need to get a pair of bones (and I don't just mean I need to get laid twice. . .by men?); those things are sick.
VAsh plays with the Portland OR group "Circled by Hounds."

Yes I do. I live and play in Portland primarily. Though I am always happy to take the band to new places to play. And to travel to new places to teach bodhran, bones and spoons.
