Spiritual Depression is a symptom of living in Utah. It has been a term used to describe Utah's state of affairs in the area of mental health.
Utah leads the nation in several things, and one of those things is depression.

Utah teens kill themselves more than other states. Utah uses twice the national average of prescription anti-depressants, and prescription pain killers.

In many of the studies done on Utah, the primary cause points to an overly rigid moral system, and extremely high expectations on LDS members by their church.

The social, legal and political atmosphere in Utah is just as unstable as mental health in Utah. Utah has been long divided, Mormon's vs. non-Mormons. Since the early 1900's there have been many clashes between Mormons and non-Mormons.

One side starts a political campaign against the other, and the battle rages on back and forth. This isn't just limited to non-Mormon Christians, but also between Mormons and Native American tribes that were here long before the Mormons moved in. One prime example of this is the Mountain Meadows Massacre, when Mormons recruited and tried to blame the entire massacre on Paiute native Americans who got caught up in a horrible historical event and recruited by non other than LDS leaders of that particular area.

There is not a sturdy neutral side to all of this. Some have found it by sitting on a fence. But these are often the same people's that find their loved ones dieing a pre-mature death as a result of depression.

I have taken a lot of time to research all of the studies that have been done on this epidemic, and I hope that you take the time to research these things yourself.

Here are some research that I have gathered.

  • @83Mathdude I've heard it happening. awolLDSasap lives near PG. I just posted 3 videos on Adam God Doctrine. Many a Mormon has denied it or is ignorant of it. It's a lot to chew on.

  • im actually having a better life now. 100% better! im in school, going to college, in a few years ill live my dream of becoming a mathematics professor/research mathematician, and everything, so i guess its a happy ending for me over all

  • @IExposeMormonism this type of censorship is exactly why i got the hell out of utah as soon as i left mormonism...as soon as i chose to leave the faith, for my own personal reasons, i lost my job, i lost all my friends, my family disowned me...the whole town of Pleasant Grove shunned me! yeah, u pretty much commit social suicide when you leave! oh well. you know :)

  • @IExposeMormonism u know thats one of my theories abt y i am so atheist...i totally used to be mormon

  • @omiolo1 Yes, but Mormonism makes more Atheists especially when they realize they've been had. The most common by product of Mormonism is Atheism, but then Mormonism is Atheism!

  • Great job on this vid!! Great data. I love to see the truth come to light.

  • yah MORmONS love that technique

as soon as someone is a liabiltiy or embarassment to THE church somehow they are not a member!

    ASK A MORmON

    they will tell you

Ron & Dan Lafferty are not MORmONS!

Mark Hoffman is not a MORmoN!

Brian David Mitchell is not a Mormon

despite their having all the critical MORmON ordinances and upbringing.

    MORmONS!

  • I guess that means silence from omilolo1?!

Good idea. Choose your battles bud. This was a losing battle for you.

  • I actually FILMED the study and made my comments on another video.

    Seriously bud, check it out!

And this study was done by BYU, by Mormons, for Mormons. It was not done by John Hopkins.

You are trying to twist the facts, but I will untwist them partner. Check out my video.

  • "the high rate for active LDS is 7.64%. "

NO, please do NOT be dishonest.

Read table THREE, the highest rate of suicide for ACTIVE LDS people is 1.00%.

The 7.64% is for the inactive. ANTImormons who have NOT had their name removed!
