But on the bright side...its a one man deal....it does away with an extra tractor and operator and you don't have anyone to blame but yourself when shit goes wrong hahaha
@classharvester it's good in thin hay but not as good when you start getting in thick hay that's making 3-4 or 5 bales per acre. The main issue is not being able to keep a close eye on when your baler stops feeding and its so far back there you can't hear it. And your limited to however the hay feeds into the baler as far as bale shape and form go no way to feed to one side or the other. If your in hay that is not over mature and cut when its real premium stuff it does pretty good.
mcc1327 is correct.....theres a company that makes them with wheel rakes too which makes them alot cheaper to purchase but they make a loped sided bale because you can't adjust the windrow width but it still gets the job done with one guy....
@will911hunting there built in brenham, tx. the guy who designed it is a dick and tried to sue every farmer that built a hitch on a rake before him. they run like 28k 30k so its alot cheaper to buy a vermeer r2300 or vermeer 23a and design your hitch and driveline system through it. check out our video, jd 7210 baling with vermeer rake and jd baler.
