People are so worried about creating a tight ass beat. What happened to the old school hop, where lyrics where ass kicking and the beat was nothing but a drum loop. Nowadays beats are so complex and rappers primitive minded.

@PrototypeXt3 im a junior right now, and i might take that class my senior year then. i have a mentor that told me music producing is just a long term learning experience and its all in how much dedication you put into it. he told me music schools wont really help much cause they just teach you the basics, that you can learn by yourself. but thanks for the info bro

@iBsOoinFaMoUz this might crush your dreams, or it may give you hope. But I've been making beats for 6 months now, and it's still not quite up to par to this. Trust me, I'm a lot better than I used to be, but still. I recommend taking Music Theory class if you can. It's hard, but it's worth it in the long run. I'm a sophomore in high school, and I took it this year just because I've been making beats. It helps to an extent, of course you'll still learn stuff you don't really need to know.
