@McMaNGOS The Beatles, the Stones and Zeppelin are definitely NOT overrated. And I'd say probably Queen, and most certainly the Doors, are pretty damn under-rated. AC/DC, well, they got popular playing mostly the same thing over and over again, and yet people (and I) still love them

@TheMrBassdude The Doors has 72 million plays on Last.FM, even though their music is mediocre at best.

Queen has about 90 million, which is understandable since they've released plenty of noteworthy songs, but it's still a ridiculous amount of plays.

My point is that there's plenty of musicians who are just as good (or perhaps even better) than these bands who don't even have a million plays. I don't really believe that's fair.

@JakobsMovieTutorials this comment makes no sense at all. there's a significant difference between somebody who produces/remixes music and somebody who plays other people's productions at parties and other events.

secondly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with remixing or remaking music. it's a way of expanding upon the concept of the original track, and i don't see any problems with that.

even though you may not find something aesthetically pleasing, others will. this concept is pretty much a basic element in musical criticism, i honestly find it surprising that people don't understand this.

@McMaNGOS Its not a question of fairness. the fact that their music is heard by many doesnt mean they think they are better than others, or the people who listen to them are denying others are good, it just means they are popular. Music is subjective, and thus cannot be exclaimed better or worse, there are just some bands that MANY people find enlightening or fun.
