Brooke/Lucas & Peyton - Get Up

Ok, this is something I originally made for my 'Choices' series, but I just wanted to upload it as a video as well. It's meant to be what would go on in Lucas's head if he ever found out that Brooke really broke up with him because Peyton told her she had feelings for him.

For me, this video was a release of a lot of frustration to do with the way the BL relationship ended. Brooke and Lucas both thought they loved each other more than the other. Brooke broke up with him because she thought him & Peyton were inevitable, but on some level it was also a test because she wanted Lucas to prove her wrong, to have a chance to be with Peyton and not take it because Brooke is the one he really wanted & for him to fight for her. But all Lucas knew was that Brooke kept pushing him away & broke up with him seemingly without looking back & the only solution he had was to try and move on, & he's not wrong for that at all, he just thought that the girl he loved didn't love him back so he gave a relationship with Peyton a chance. And that's the truly tragic thing about BL.

So this would be about Lucas realising all of that, that Brooke did love him, that he could've been with her and that Peyton was the reason Brooke left him and he never even knew it. It's how Lucas only see this one side of Peyton, his 'angel', he doesn't see the other side of her, just the side that goes to him to tell him she loves him so much that she's going to sacrifice him, to then realise that that's what Brooke did, only she didn't have to tell him she was sacrificing him because when you're truly being selfless, you don't try and get credit for it, or make someone else feel bad because of how much it hurts you. I even included how in 601, Peyton was the only choice likely to marry Lucas, he didn't think Brooke wanted him and Lindsey had already left him at the alter, Peyton was the only one he knew of that was dreaming to be with him. Anyway with all that off my chest, LP'ers are going to hate this video & me for the description and are probably going to dislike - but hey, why don't you prove me wrong & show me how mature you are and how you are secure enough in the couple that you ship and their epicness that you don't have to go around disliking videos that don't show them in a good light? I'm not meaning to bash the LP fanbase, they just happen to have a few bad apples in them - which I'm sure the BL fanbase does too - that I just don't want to deal with.

Wow, that was a long description, but I really, really hope you guys enjoy this & for some of you, maybe it will make you see BL in a slightly different way, or at least what happened in season 4 in a slightly different way!

@justdamagedgoods I don't like awake at night thinking about this if that's what you think. But I'm working on a BL miniseries & I really wanted to address a lot of their issues from the past that was forgotten & that's where this video came from. And if you're referring to my long description that took about the same amount of time for me to write as it took you to watch the video.

Wow that bit where Peyton is talking about sacrifice and you show her letting Lucas go after the basketball game, I almost teared up, and Im not even a huge BL fan! Great job!

It was amazing, and i agree with your description 100%, my favorite part was the voiceover with peyton saying that the greatest act of love was sacrifice like Keith did with Karen, and we see Brooke doing it with Lucas, Brooke made a sacrifice for the boy she loves, Peyton only wanted for Lucas to see her like the perfect little angel who loves him so much, poor Peyton *sarcasm*

i love it and ur description because you say what blers all think and know and 99% of everyone else chooses to ignore. and thats why blers will never really "get over it" because instead of dealing with it, bringing closure to the issue, its locked away and untouched. much like the bl relationship itself, they spent so much time building them up and making them important only to in a blink throw them away and take every opportunity to say hey theyre weren't important. i just feel bad for luke.

This was pretty awesome, and even though I'm an LP fan I can totally see your point about BL. They were tragic, but I think it was always going to be that way. Brooke would never have been happy with Lucas because she always expected him to be better than he was - not in a bad way. I think she knew he didn't really deserve her and that's why it never worked. LP worked in a different way. And now, Brooke's happy with Julian. And happy Brooke is awesome Brooke =]

amasing! i know that lucas and peyton were planned from the start and that there always was something between them and i'm not really upset with the way things ended up but i love brooke and lucas! your desription was totally right and i love how you showed the hardship and the heartbreak in this vid! keep them coming!!!

Loved your video... it's really a shame they didn't adress the real reason she broke up with him but oh well... can't do anything about it now (sadly)
