"TV Sucks Now" videos part 8: Reality Shows and My Opinions on TV

Well, I have already gone over all of the kids networks that people would be whining and moaning about. Now it's time for the one other thing that people would be complaining about besides kids networks. Reality Shows.

Now that's something that I actually agree with. I don't like how TV has many reality shows, but it seems that many people think it's the only other thing that's on TV besides kids networks. That's not true at all. If you look beyond reality shows and kids networks, then you'll find some good stuff.

I personally think TV is good these days. Sure there's bad shows today, but TV has plenty of bad shows back then as well. I personally like what they show on The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, Spike, Comedy Central, Adult Swim, Sci-fi Channel, etc.

The 3 networks that I think has truely gone downhill is MTV, VH1, and G4. Not only do I find these 3 networks terrible, but I also find these 3 networks to be far worse than anything that's on kids networks. At least the kids networks air what they were mean't for, making shows for kids. MTV, VH1, and G4 goes completely against what they were originally mean't for. Especially MTV, in which it's supposed to stand for MUSIC TELEVISION.

You know what I realized, that the majority of the people who whine about how much television sucks have some form of autism, aspergers, or some other type of mental illness.

Not that I have anything against people with disabilities, it's just something I noticed.

now ive got to say agree ad digree with you.. i disgree with you because some people will comlpain about things like disney, nick, and they wanna share there opiniions... so u cant really say ur tired of hering this complaing... it's life, people will always be a critic... now i agree with you because they can sometimes get way too over board, but it's life man.. i hate jonas brothers, but i dont complain much at all. i have a life.. we each got our own opinions....

That's the only thing i agree with nostalgia buffs on. Tv shows way too many reality shows these days, also i agree Mtv is a network i think has truly gone downhill

@RevolutionRapter5000 I'm not the type of person who just bashes anything modern just because it's modern. I really think that tv has gone down in quality-I consider this a pop cultural cycle that is natural. Pop culture in general is very fragmented right now, I can't really think of any movement that speaks to an entire generation. My theory is that people are so individualistic right now that pop culture will remain fragmented until the next youth rebellion against authority.

@RevolutionRapter5000 I really disagree, what on earth is there to discover about "pimping rides?" It's a vague reality tv show that really has no place on any specific channel. That's the direction tv has taken now, a very dadaist direction. That's not even taking into account the quality of some of these shows. Again reality shows on MTV are just about the worst of the worst. Bad quality acting, unbelievable storylines and ideas -not that reality tv shows were ever believable to begin with

I think the real reason tv is so awful right now has to do with the fact that channels today don't even play shows relevant to their channel subject. I mean A&E playing Dog the Bounty Hunter? I could see something like American Idol because at least that's related to singing which is considered an art, but what in HELL'S name does being a bounty hunter have to do with Arts and Entertainment....fucking nothing. It's just an excuse for A&E to make reality shows and gain viewers aka money.
