iPad and using Photoshop and other apps - (kind of)

In my business at NJ Mac Magic in North Jersey, I use remote access much of the time in my position. I may be on the road and receive a call from a client that requires instant help or guidance in which case I can pull over pull out my iPhone (or my soon to be iPad) and control computers miles away with my device.
Im already doing great with the iPhone so am looking forward to even more real estate with the iPad.

I have recorded myself here using my iPhone controlling my 24" iMac in my office, but I can just as easily control a Mac or PC another state away or a country away.

Eventually, the usual way of doing business I think is going to change as the data transfer rates or bandwidth increase. Our ability to not have to carry our systems around with us any more, keypads or track pads in hand in the future we will tap into our remote systems from any place we go. I believe a keyboard or track pad of sorts just like the iPad may some day be the new way, leaving our data safe and sound in the security of our homes and offices. If it gets lost, stolen or broken, to simply buy a new trackpad that is secured by our own fingerprints or voice dna would be an almost flawless method of doing things.

@Caffo2k9 No there are pc versions of the software too. It's just vnc software.

hehe, Yes you can. You need a router between the modem and your computer, but Ill get you instructions in about 3 or 4 days if you remind me. I install and help people get set up to do this for both home and work systems alike. It's late here, I have to go to bed!

it's hard to use photoshop on a small screen might be worth it to bring this along for a demo it works on my 27" but the color u see isnt always the color u get when

printing out anyway lets see what u have come up with

Can I control my old G4 tower running OS10.4 tiger using this method??? This would be incredible if I could! Im so looking forward to having the iPad myself. Your vision of the future sounds real neat! Thanks Andrew :D
