Boots the Orphaned Brushtail Possum Playing

Australian Brush tail Possum. These guys are getting harder and harder to find as they are being slaughtered for their meat which is in demand in China.
The guy who pays contractors to slaughter them makes Millions of dollars despite the Possums living on Crown Land.
He dose not put any money back into wildlife conservation, he only takes. He lied about Possum numbers to gain a Licence to kill Possums and had a few mates in Parliament who pushed legislation through.
They even shoot the mothers carrying young and then bash the Joey's head in as wildlife carers refuse to take the hundreds of Orphans.
Do your bit and help stop this barbaric massacre.

That's horrible about the slaughtering! :(

I never even knew that it was happeneing. And with all the people who run down Possums or that get electrocuted... really sad.

I've seen quite a few dead possums recently, only males the ones that I've checked. I want to become a wildlife rescuer.

Is Boots going to be staying with you or do you plan to release him? I think he seems just fine now as he is with you, keeps him from being slaughtered like those others.
