A man by the name of "Max" must have felt threatened by the sight early Saturday afternoon of more than 250 patriotic Americans in O'Fallon, Mo., standing up against socialism and government-run health care and calling for a return to government of the people, by the people and for the people. After looking across Highway K at the crowd that dwarfed his pro-public option crowd, Max crafted an e-mail and sent it to leaders of K-N-Patriots.org. "A Civics Lesson for Max" offers the "meat" of Max's message, followed by a civics lesson from a retired physician ("Tom") who understands subjects Max must have missed in school.
