  • Superman1981ar: Thanks for your question. "POW!" is a word I'm using to describe an interesting opening. Most speakers don't start presentations in an interesting way. Instead they start with, "Hello my name is ____. Thanks for having me. That's boring. Starting with a Pow! means starting in a way the audience isn't expecting. Tell a story, use a statistic, show something visual - anything that will grab the audiences' attention.

  • I completely agree. In fact, when I present I have taken this advice and it made a massive difference. Additionally, I took a lot of stuff from a guy called Tom Breeze. His body language stuff is really good.
