EFI Laverda Triple - Dyno Tuning
This was a second run on the dyno. We started from scratch, trying a different overall fuelling method. This vid gives some idea of what is involved, actual tuning time was about 12hrs over 2 days. Although max power was always about the same, this tune gave a slightly snatchy and unpredictable partial throttle response, and was in the end discarded entirely! Such is the price of research.
Later on, with Chris from BRT and Ed from Autotech, another tune was conducted giving a much smoother response, cam timing experiments were also conducted, with several timing options tested back to back on the dyno.
Bike is running really nicely now, a few niggles with the peripheral systems and I'd call it done.
