'The history of my life is in my songs'. Judy Garland. The world is reawakening to the musical legacy given to us by an enigmatic genius. In this video, hopefully I am pulling back the curtain just a little more. ... For Liza, Lorna, & Joe. Jesse & Vanessa. May the light of Judy Garland's legacy shine forever.
A Star Is Born, one of the most inspiring & marvelous creations in movie history. Here is a peek through the keyhole ... where Judy is looking back at us. This is the story that Judy wanted to tell. (She & Sid Luft set up thier own production company to do this.) She was giving us a vision of her life, the past & the future. In this chapter, are the sacrifices & pain to create a masterpiece.
A Star Is Born is not just a movie that progresses from point A to B. It is a vision moving backwards & forwards simultaneouly, showing us a soul that perhaps knew her own fate.

  • You know, in a strange way it almost makes me ashamed to call myself a human, when it was humans like Judy's mother, Sid Luft, etc who pushed her to such dark places.....

When I see videos like this I just wish I could reach out and give her a hug.....

    thanks for posting.

  • Your welcome.

I think she was giving us a picture of her life.

  • the big talent in a small/big Woman.... I love Judy for ever! She is the great on the world! ..thanx for posting .. I was moved!

  • @actressindemaking Judy should have been given the respect and they should have handled her gentler. Sid did his best but being on call 24/7 was a chore and he had to deal with her moods and it was Sid that made most of her milestones a reality even when they divorced, he was the only person strong enough who knew her and how to deal with her. He wasn't perfect but out of all her husbands, he was the strongest one and knew when to push and when not to. Gerald Frank's bio "Judy" is the best bio.

  • Who is it telling the story about taking her home at 1:35? Stories like that break my heart.

  • @MicheleBell1 I could sense she really gave everything to her art and her performance.

  • @MicheleBell1 I could sense she really gave everything to her art and her performance. Anyway, in my heart I have the highest respect and sympathy for her. WHAT AN ARTIST! WHAT A TRAGEDY!

  • It saddens me to know that Warner Brothers didn't know how to treat a true artist and understand the Star Is Born is a movie poduced by a true artist's soul and life. They cut the movie ruthlessly because their only concern was profit. It is a SHAME! Judy Garland's story becomes so sad because as a major talent she deserved much better.

  • I know exactly what you mean, I feel like doing the same!
