Much Better: Chapter 4 - A Jonas story

Chapter 4:
Lisa feels her breath catch in her throat at his touch and pulls her hand away. She thinks to herself *No, Lisa.... remember, no emotion...*

The sound of Nicks voice snaps her out of her trance "So are you going to be living here by yourself?" Joe gives him a nod thinking *Nice one bro, why didnt I say that* Lisa replies absentmindedly "No, Charlie will be here, he's coming with my friend Susan next week." All three guys look disappointed thinking *Shit, she's got a boyfriend* Lisa continues trying to sound cheerful "He doesn't take well to moving, he just gets in the way, but I miss his big brown eyes." She sighs. "Here.. (she grabs her purse and starts digging through it) I have a picture here somewhere....oh, here it is." She pulls out the picture and shows it to Joe first, his face lights up and he chuckles "Oh, Charlies your dog!?" He's looking at a photo of Lisa cuddling a Big Brown Puppy. He hands it to Nick, Kevin goes and stands beside him to see, they both break into broad smiles. Nick smiles "He's cute." Lisa states "Yeah I love that Mutt... Wait a minute who did you think I was talking about?" Joe gets a little red in the cheeks "I just figured a beauty like you would have a boyfriend." She looks down and blushes at the compliment, Joe grins with satisfaction. Nick asks "How old is he?" Lisa looks over "He's 2 now, he was only about 6 months in that photo but its my favourite" Kevin takes the picture from Nick and comments"He looks like Elvis, except Dark Brown and he's got longer ears....and his tail looks bushier...." Nick grins"So he doesn't look anything like Elvis does he." Kevin looks up and shrugs "Okay I guess he doesn't, but he sure is cute." Lisa giggles at the sweet expression on Kevin's face then asks "Who's Elvis?...Well I know who Elvis is who doesn't, but who's the one youre talking about?" Nick smiles and pulls out his wallet, he opens it up and pulls out a small picture of him holding a Golden Lab "This is Elvis." Lisa looks at the picture her eyes soften as she looks at the adorable puppy "Awww.... Hes soooo...cute." Joe laughs"Yeah in That Picture he is but when hes running around the house with your Shoes in his mouth...Not So Much...!" Lisa laughs as she hands Nick the picture back "Well I still think he's cute. I assume his namesake is Elvis Presley." Nick grins and replies "And Elvis Costello." Lisa looks at him a little surprise "Really, that's cool two very good choices." Kevin asks "So is Charlie named for anyone?" She turns to him and grins "Well... actually he's named after three people, Charlie my Grandfather and two of his favourites Charlie Pride and Charlie Daniels. All three have been a big part of my Life." She stands quietly for a minute looking off into space thinking about her Grandfather and his music. As the boys stare at her waiting for her to elaborate, she shakes her head and snaps out of it, "Shit, I should bring my car in and get the rest of the junk out of it." She starts digging in her purse again "I'm sure I threw the keys in here. She pulls out an i-pod with a set of large headphones, and sets it on the counter followed by her wallet, a pen, make-up case, CDs, a small notebook, miscellaneous wrappers, and cell phone." The guys look in shock *how much stuff can she fit in there*."Oh here they are!" she exclaims as she looks over onto the counter behind her. "I don't know where my brain is today."

Joe reaches over and picks up her i-pod "Do you mind, I'm just curious." Lisa nods "Not at all go ahead." He puts on the headphones and turns it on, then starts flipping though the playlists. She picks ups her keys and turns to leave. Nick jumps ups "I'll get you car for you." Lisa looks and him surprised "Really?" He nods "Yeah, No problem." She shrugs "Well, I guess it is only into the driveway. I should be able to trust you." She tosses him her keys. Kevin grins "Nick IS a way better driver than Joe." He looks over at Joe waiting for a reaction, but Joe is so entranced by her i-pod he didn't hear him. Nick laughs "Good shot bro! To bad he can't hear you." They laugh. Joe looks up and yells "WHAT?" Kevin waves his hand at Joe "Nothing, go back to what you were doin!" Joe just shrugs and looks back down at the screen then loudly says "You got some great stuff here...good taste." He gives Lisa a Thumbs up. Nick and Kevin shake their heads. Kevin apologizes "He's our brother what can I say *cough* Doofus." Lisa giggles and smiles. Nick starts to head down the hall "I'll be right back." He calls over his shoulder.

I went to Toronto yesterday hoping to see the guys, found out I had just missed them at Starbucks, Damn! :P Well maybe next weekend. I think they are here till the end of the month. :D

haha! love it! Jo bros all sad when they hear lisa talk about charlie! haha love lisas attitude! she acts just like me! haha now wouldnt that be awesome to have guys fighting over who can do whatever for you like bringing in the car and stuff! Lucky lisa! wow kevin,joe,nick can you guys get any smoother! haha
