Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 31 Flight Engineer Don Pettit of NASA and European Space Agency Flight Engineer Andre Kuipers used the station's Canadarm2 robotic arm to grapple and berth SpaceX's Dragon cargo craft to the Earth-facing port of the Harmony module May 25, three days after the spacecraft was launched from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on a history-making mission as the first commercial vehicle to deliver cargo to the outpost. Dragon will spend six days berthed to Harmony, enabling the crew to unload supplies for the station's residents before it is re-grappled and released to return to Earth for a parachute-assisted splashdown in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of southern California.

Absolutely astonishing to be honest... I've watched this video twice in awe at how amazing of a job NASA and SpaceX are doing.

You'll probably be pleased to find out that the Falcon rocket it was launched on is named after the Millennium Falcon.

As I play Kerbel Space Program, I can't imagine how difficult it is to place something in the same orbit of a space station... Congratulations Nasa and SpaceX.

I have a question for people who have solid backgrounds in astonautics & spaceflight ...

    Here is question :

Why hasn't the Falcon 1space launch vehicle(Attention not 9) had more comercial payload fairing contracts ?

From what I read on wiki ,the Falcon 1 launch vehicle had only 1 comercial launch (a 350 kg satelite from Malayasia).

Is the Falcon 1 space launch vehicle inferior to other similar launchers (like russian converted ICBM's or Ukrainian Tsyklon ) ?

    PLS I need to know
