  • Somebody get this man more cowbell!

  • I think 'hallucinatory' is a poorly chosen description; 'awe' is probably better :) however I agree this is an amazing, inspiring film, and I can't wait to see what Douglas Trumbull has done in The Tree of Life.

  • @DickieAnginson the ultimate OBX experience huh?

  • its also the most intriguing and beautiful scene

  • this scene was ahead of its time, the effects almost felt like a memory

  • I just love this scene where Natalie pretty much reaches into the obese and pulls Walkens's ass back out:)

  • Odd that Natalie brought back someone from the dead in her last screen appearance. Wish we could have done the same for her.

  • Forget tv vortex :)

  • the way is long but come back to our real nature :(

  • @hachikou42 @RickWolffm Director Douglas Trumbull did the best with what he had. Natalie Wood passed away in 1981, two years before this film was released. She died before crucial scenes were filmed, so Trumbull used other clips and a stand-in for Natalie. (Trumbull is the F/X specialist behind films like "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "Blade Runner.") I thought the ending was appropriate. Michael begins to enter "heaven" via Vivian's death tape but Natalie's voice brings him back.

  • @RickWolff Yah, this movie had a real non-ending.. I was like, Uh, okay?
