If you are going to type your articles out, then you have to make the investment in yourself in order to make yourself more productive. And this means that you need some touch-type training.

Now, you can either go on a course, or you can do it at home. There are free courses online that you can attend, as you can see here. Or you can buy some software. One of the best pieces of software for it is this one. It's Mavis Beacon. It's been around for more years than I care to remember, but it's very, very powerful software. And $20-25, you can pick up a brand new copy of this off somewhere like Amazon or eBay or something like that. This is very, very good software to teach you to type. I mean, I used this a long time ago now, and it's helped me to type, and my typing speed is close to 100 words a minute, with close to 100-percent accuracy. Very, very good.

But if you can't touch-type, then you are seriously going to struggle to type your own articles. As I said, if you think about it, speaking, you can average about 150 words a minute. If your typing is only, say, 50 words a minute, it's going to take you three times as long. If your typing words is, say, 25 words a minute, you're talking it's going to take you six times as long, so if it's going to take you five minutes to write an article, it's going to take you an hour. That is really, really going to slow you down, not being able to type well.

And this is where a lot of people struggle with the writing of articles. Most of them can research it, no problems at all. Most people can find ideas, no problems at all. But people struggle with the actual writing, and that's where they fall down. And that's why, often, it's better to dictate it and hire a transcriptionist. Yes, I know it's going to cost you some money, but your productivity is going to be higher. And that is the key here, it really is. You are after improving your productivity as much as possible in order to maximize your revenue.

Like I said, if each article earns you, say, a dollar, so each article earns you, we'll put, say, a dollar a week, OK, or a dollar a day. Let's do something really, really easy. Each article we'll do is a dollar a day, say. So, if in a week you can produce five articles, theoretically, at the end of that week, your income's five dollars a day. That's not going to change your life. Using the techniques we're teaching you here, let's think about this for a minute. If you can produce 10 articles a day--and that's taking it easy--at the end of a week, you're suddenly on $70 a day instead of $5.

So you can see, it's a big, big difference. And it really is one of the major keys in succeeding with these articles. It's a numbers game. And if you are smart enough to do this in the best possible way so you are the most productive, you will maximize your revenue.

A lot of people will go, "I'm not spending the money on a transcriptionist. I'll do it myself." And they take four hours to do three or four articles. At the end of the four hours, someone who's using a transcriptionist has probably got 30 to 40 articles done. So there's a big, big difference. You can massively improve your productivity by doing the dictation. But, if you haven't got the money, you will need to type them. And if you cannot type, then you have to make this investment in yourself, through software such as Mavis Beacon or any of the other touch-type training. If you do not make that investment in yourself, you are going to struggle to reach a decent level of productivity with your articles, which, in turn, means you are going to struggle to make any money from them.

So, whether you're going to type them or transcribe them is entirely up to you. But whichever you do, focus on productivity. It's a numbers game. You want as many high-quality articles as possible, created in as short a time as possible. And for many people, rather than typing, it's dictating. But, if you want to type, learn to touch-type, improve your article-writing speed, improve your productivity, and, in turn, improve your earnings.
