Today, nearly 100 subway stations have Train Arrival Information Signs. Many more stations are getting them. Check them out and let us know what you think!
what's wrong with this video? .. no it's not the sign. it's the number of pp it got to install this sign. oh my god, i can install this sign with another helper. it looks like it took 5 or 6 mta employees to install the sign. no wonder why they keep asking for fare hike. next time when you ride the train, pay attention to how many mta employees does it take to do a certain job .... more people that that job requires. I've seen it all the time.
In my opinion, the Montreal system is way better.
It's a TV (any size), and shows the weather, real-time schedules, 45-sec news and advertising. That could get more money to the MTA (advertising). I have a video on it, it's called Métrovision. You can check it.
I like this system but it's still not in nearly enough stations. Yes, they're at Atlantic Avenue, but only on the numbered lines. And sometimes, you feel that there's not enough signs throughout the platforms.
